Virtual Gallery
The virtual gallery is a response to the many requests we receive from people across the UK wanting to see and experience the visual arts created with older and younger people working together with Age Exchange. The virtual gallery will enable you to experience a wide range of community and reminiscence arts programmes run by Age Exchange and to view the resulting art works.
We would like to thank designer Ken Drysdale who has created our gallery. It is our intention that the virtual gallery will host a range of fascinating and moving exhibitions throughout the year.
“Reflections”
Our first virtual gallery exhibition “Reflections” is a series of photographs taken by Mel Winning of residents of the Merchant Taylor’s and Christopher Boones Almshouses in South London.
The exhibition was originally held at the Boones Chapel in Lewisham in December 2011 and again at The Merchant Taylors’ Hall, in the City of London, during April 2012. The photographic memories project is part of a three year programme of reminiscence arts for Almshouse residents, supported by The Merchant Taylors’ Company.
