Privacy Notice – Age Exchange
Age Exchange (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This notice (together with our terms of use and any other documents referred to in it) sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us.

Age Exchange is a registered charity and a sister organisation of Community Integrated Care.
The law requires us to tell you about your rights and our obligations to you regarding the processing and control of your personal data.
Information we may collect from you
We may collect and process the following data about you:
- Information that you provide by filling in forms on our site www.age-exchange.org.uk. This includes information provided at the time of subscribing to our publications, enquiring about our services, making a general enquiry, applying for jobs or volunteering. We may also ask you for information when you report a problem with our site.
- If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.
IP Addresses
We may collect information about your computer, including (where available) your IP address, operating system, and browser type, for system administration.
Where we store your personal data
The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers. Such staff may be engaged in, among other things, the provision of support services.
By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing, or processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy notice.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.
Uses made of the information
We use information held about you in the following ways:

How long we keep your data
We will only retain your personal data for as long as:
- it is needed for the purposes set out in this document
- the law requires us to
In general, this means that we will only hold your personal data for a minimum of 1 year and up to 7 years, depending on the nature of the data. This is detailed in our retention policy.
Your rights
You have the right to request:
- information about how your personal data on this website is processed
- a copy of that personal data
- that anything inaccurate in your personal data is corrected immediately
You can also:
- raise an objection about how your personal data is processed
- request that your personal data is erased if there is no longer a justification for it
- ask that the processing of your personal data is restricted in certain circumstances
