How We Support People
A Person-Centred, Creative Approach.

At Age Exchange, we put people at the heart of everything we do. We believe creativity is essential to wellbeing and everyone deserves meaningful opportunities to express themselves. Whether through personalised one-to-one support or vibrant group activities, we tailor our programmes to meet the individual needs and aspirations of each participant.
At the heart of this, is a commitment to co-production and empowering the voice and artistic potential of every person.
RADIQL: Transforming Dementia Care
Our innovative RADIQL model, a powerful blend of multi-arts and reminiscence, dramatically enhances the lives of people living with dementia and their family carers.
Evaluated by Royal Holloway University, our approach is proven to improve wellbeing by 42% and increase positive behaviours by 25%, remarkable outcomes considering the complexity of the challenges faced by our participants.

Mental Health Recovery through Creativity
We utilise arts-based therapeutic approaches to help individuals overcome trauma and mental health challenges, empowering them to regain confidence and reconnect with their communities. Our approach shifts perspectives away from clinical labels towards connections built on shared creative interests, fostering hope and belonging during life’s most challenging moments.
Sensory Arts for Complex Needs
Recognising that individuals with profound and multiple learning disabilities experience significant barriers when their sensory needs aren’t met, we deliver pioneering sensory arts programmes. Our creative solutions provide deeply comforting sensory experiences, promoting enhanced wellbeing for participants and their support networks.

Empowering Artists, Building Confidence
We champion artist development, supporting people who draw on care services to nurture and expand their artistic talents. Through structured, supportive experiences, participants develop new skills, create meaningful art, and exhibit their work publicly – celebrating powerful human experiences and stories within their communities
Arts and Active Lives
We actively address health inequalities affecting people who draw on care and support, through reducing isolation, empowering skills, and enabling more full and active lives. Through drawing on our skills in occupational health and person-centred support, we design programmes that really empower powerful health outcomes through arts, creativity and social connection.

Collaborative Partnerships
Our success stems from trusted collaborations. By partnering with creative, caring and community organisations nationally, we design much needed programmes that are impactful, inclusive, and tailored to the unique characteristics of each community. Together, we empower marginalised voices, dismantle barriers, and celebrate creativity at every opportunity.
Our Vision for the Future
Building on our proven success, we aim to expand our transformative programmes further, bringing creativity, empowering, and connection to even more people across the UK.
