Volunteer
Join us in making a meaningful impact – one cup of coffee, one story, and one smile at a time.
Volunteers are at the heart of Age Exchange. Every week, more than 100 people give their time to support our café, library, community programmes, dementia projects, book sales, theatre trips, and events. Their generosity, energy, and kindness help us create a welcoming space where older people, families, and carers feel supported, valued, and connected.
By volunteering with us, you’ll have the opportunity to meet new people, learn new skills, and make a real difference in your community. Whether you can spare a few hours a week or help at occasional events, we would love to hear from you.

Why Volunteer with Us?
Volunteering at Age Exchange is about giving, and gaining something valuable in return. Our volunteer team is the backbone of Age Exchange, ranging in age from 14 to 94. Some volunteers have found employment after gaining valuable experience with us, while others have found that volunteering has helped with their mental health and wellbeing.
