Under 65’s with dementia

Age Exchange is planning to reopen Caring Together services on the 4th of May, with previous precautions in place – including the wearing of masks, social distancing and fewer people at each group.

There are options to meet via online sessions instead or connect with the service in other ways. Please see our Virtual Day Care for more information.

We have two groups for Under 65s living with young–onset dementia and those who provide care as family, friends or staff. All welcome to join us for activities & support.

Café Connect
Thursday, 11am-12.30pm (every other week) starting on 6 May
Bakehouse Theatre, Age Exchange

Kaleidoscope Café
Thursday, 11am-12.30pm (second and fourth week) starting 13 May
Bakehouse Theatre, Age Exchange

Kaleidoscope Café is named in honour of three cultural icons that lived with forms of young-onset dementia: Rita Hayworth, the glamorous Hollywood actress, whose films include those that first began using Technicolor; flamboyant Sugar Ray Robinson the boxer; and Sir Terry Pratchett, renowned author whose fantastical Discworld series of books created a whole new realm.

All of the Caring Together groups must be booked in advance.

£5 per attendee for either group.  There is no additional cost for carers.
