Gemma Catnott (Volunteer and Community Hub Manager) is responsible overall for operations in The Exchange, our Blackheath hub, including the management of dozens of volunteers. A benevolent influence, Gemma’s pastoral skills are informed by years of eliciting the best from young people especially, as a foster carer in the London Borough of Newham, and for social mobility charity Access Aspiration, setting up inspirational work placements and insight days. This proved so successful, Access merged with the Mayors Fund for London. Gemma works closely with The Exchange café manager in the intergenerational hub, bringing in placements for volunteers of all ages. With a background in corporate sales, Gemma spent six enjoyable years living in New Zealand.
