This is a challenging and exciting time for Age Exchange. During the course of the pandemic we provided an innovative virtual service which made the finals of the National Dementia Care Awards. Now we find carers have witnessed their loved ones diagnosis progressing at an alarming rate and have been unable to take breaks for respite to help them cope.
We now have a lot of work to do helping people living with dementia & their carers to feel confident in engaging with the outside world again. Our services will play a vital role in this transition phase and we are pleased to have re-started our in-person groups in May 2021. We were fortunate to pull through the pandemic with the support of our amazing local community, corporate partners, grant making trusts and an army of amazing volunteers.
You will be a sole fundraiser so will need to be able to move from supporting community fundraising, working with corporates or applying to trusts. We are looking for a fundraiser who can help us to continue delivering our services in a post-pandemic world and support us in Age Exchange’s toughest challenge yet; an increase in demand for our services and less funding available to charities throughout the UK due to the financial burden of the pandemic.
