The ‘Library of Experience' is the culmination of an 18 month intergenerational arts and reminiscence residency with Brockley Primary School in Lewisham. The residency carried out with year 5 and 6 children, explored personal, family and community histories through a combination of reminiscence workshops with elders, dramatization, documentary film making and wide ranging visual arts activities.

The ‘Library of Experience' in its initial incarnation dealt with the issue of conflict – within and between communities and nations.

The library and its associated projects is an ongoing experiment. It is intended to function as a ‘multi-space' combining library, archive, exhibition and performance stage. It could be seen as prototype for the creation of similar ‘multi-spaces' within Britain's schools.

The web-based archive will be hosted, maintained and developed by students and staff at Brockley Primary School.
