Brockley Primary School Year 6 2003-04

Part of a 2 year residency by Age Exchange at Brockley Primary School. Year 6 pupils collected, illustrated and retold stories from and about their family history - reflecting the extraordinary cultural diversity of the schools' population and a global experience of the 20th Century encapsulated in a small corner of London SE4.

The residency was a partnership between Age Exchange, Creating Success - Lewisham Education Action Zone and Brockley Primary School.

The Heart of Lewisham

An exhibition and associated community arts work, exploring personal and family reminiscence of life in Lewisham from The Great War to the present day.

The material was collected by Age Exchange during spring 2004, through a series of interviews, themed walks and reminiscence sessions.
