Another year, another Friends of AE excursion - to the stunning Standen House and Garden in East Grinstead. Notably, the 1890's house, commissioned by solicitor James Beale and executed by architect Philip Webb, retains many of the original wallpapers and interiors for an immersive experience into classic Victoriana. Meanwhile, the garden is divided into many outdoor 'rooms', each with its own theme - enchanting.
