COACH TRIP: STANDEN HOUSE & GARDEN, EAST GRINSTEAD

The stunning Standen House and Garden in East Grinstead, was built in the 1890s for solicitor James Beale.
Standen was designed by the architect Philip Webb. The interior of the house retains many of the original wallpapers and textiles designed by Webb’s friend William Morris. The Garden is divided into many outdoor ‘rooms’, each with its own theme, colours, texture and detail, the 12 acre garden at Standen is a great Arts & Crafts inspired garden.
- The café will be open for arrival from 8.30am
- Coach leaves the Exchange promptly at 9.25;
- An itinerary shall be available on receipt of your booking. We expect to be at Standen between 11am-5pm.
COST: £33 (National Trust members pay £22.50). Cost covers coach, driver’s tip, and tour of the House.
The House has a small café for refreshments; you are welcome to bring a picnic
